Proper Cell LLC is a biotechnology start-up company that specializing in diagnostics, currently focused on COVID-19.  As the Director of Operations, I worked with the CEO and the team to write and submit a full proposal SBIR grant. I was able to provide additional business connections, initiated new job bids, perform a SWOT analysis, initiate project management software, identify laboratory needs and space, and negotiate an agreement.

As Director of the Innovation Hub, I was involved in all aspects of creating the nascent Innovation Hub space and program. Project Management aspects included strategic planning, budgeting, fundraising, industry and campus liaison, program administration, presentations, marketing, social media.

Highlights: National DOD Cyber award, grant from The Conrad Prebys Foundation,  launched TOM@CSUSM based on societal innovation

As Director, Office of Internships, I was involved in all aspects of creating the nascent  office and internship program. Project Management aspects included developing a team, strategic planning, budgeting, grant writing, standard operating procedures, event management, Liaison to all San Diego industries, presentations, event coordination, managing multiple timelines.

As the Director, Science and Mathematics, I was involved in all aspects of creating the nascent Professional Science Masters in Cybersecurity based on workforce needs of the Cyber Industry cluster in San Diego. Project Management aspects included strategic planning, grant writing, Cyber industry liaison, budgeting, team building, faculty collaboration and CCOE event coordination.

Highlights: Launched first-of-its-kind PSM in Cybersecurity, CSU grant recipient, industry driven curriculum

As part of the San Diego Wild Animal Park Genetics team, I was involved in haplotyping the San Clemente Shrike as part of a larger habitat conservation program. Project Management aspects included experimental design, tissue categorization, DNA extraction, gene analysis, sample tracking. 

Highlights: Familial identification and project confirmation of genetically unique San Clemente Shrike population 

As a Sony Material Planner and Logistics Specialist, I was involved in all aspects of creating state-of-the-art set-top box models. Project Management aspects included material planning (JIT/Kanban), sales forecasting, international production line consulting, Customs liaison, Oracle database management, logistics management, and customer relations/conflict resolution. 

Highlights: Ensured quality manufactured Set-top boxes delivered on-time to national customer, established departmental SOP's
